Israel is a Western country located in the Middle East, officially established 1947. On one hand there is innovation and tons of startups (Tel Aviv). On the other hand it has been the center of Jewish, Muslim and Christian religions, with celebrations and fights for the past almost 2000 years. Jesus Christ lived and died in cities like Bethlehem, Nazareth and Jerusalem. Jerusalem as capital is very much disputed between Israel and Palestina.

Bethlehem is the birth place of Jesus Christ and therefore a very important city in Christianity. Christmas is a busy time here. Bethlehem is located in Palestine, not Israel.
